Alerting and Notification

Once you have implemented a systems management or application management solution, it is important that you can alert and notify people should problems occur.

There are several options for alerting and notification including:

• Email
• SMS text message
• Instant Messaging

The AKCSL solution allows you to select the appropriate contact method and will automatically 'escalate' from an instant message to an SMS text message should the recipient not be logged into the IM system.
